The Department is pleased to announce our newest faculty member, Ben Bobrow, MD.
Ben will be joining the department in August. But in a way, Ben is coming full circle by returning to his roots; he completed his EM Residency at Maricopa in 1995.
Ben brings his to Maricopa experience as a clinician, Prehospital Care Medical Director and resuscitation researcher. One of his research interests is in enhancing and studying systems of care for time sensitive illnesses such as acute stroke, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and traumatic brain injury. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Arizona While, Ben currently serves on the American Heart Association Basic Life Support Guideline Committee and has received international recognition for his achievements, he is most interested and committed to improving patient outcomes in Arizona and now specifically in the community served by Maricopa Medical Center. At Maricopa, Ben will lead our efforts in the field of resuscitation science and is eager to engage the MMC faculty, EM Residents, Nursing and Ancillary Staff in the collective goal of having the best outcomes of any hospital while advancing the science of medicine.
In addition to his role at Maricopa, Ben will continue as the Medical Director for the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of EMS.
