Valleywise Health Medical Center

Valleywise Health Medical Center (formerly Maricopa Medical Center, still affectionately referred to as 'Copa) is a 449-bed, Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center that cares for patients from all over the state of Arizona and that specifically serves as the safety net for Maricopa County. The medical center offers Adult Emergency Medical Services with an ED census of approximately 60,000 patients/year (and growing).

The Arizona Children's Center offers comprehensive medical services including: a Pediatric Emergency Services with approximately 20,000 visits per year, in-patient Pediatric unit with a wide breadth of subspecialties, 12 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, a Pediatric Burn Unit, a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, a Level III, 40-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (one of three in the Phoenix Valley), and Child Life Specialists.

Valleywise Heath  is part of an integrated health system which is a network of community clinics throughout Maricopa County aimed at increasing access to care.
